Aaron came to BNF almost accidentally, but on purpose. He had reached out to a contact at BNF after another project had wrapped up the week before. That email bounced to Tara Vajra, Head of Production. At the time, the team was working on putting together the Iran Nuclear deal videos. 5 videos needed to be done in 5 days, so Tara asked if him to jump in for a bit and he just never left.
Aaron believes Brave is at a unique crossroads of film making and activism that fuels his thoughts and discussions while incorporating his film-making skill set. He thinks the topics that cover are often times at the root of what is affecting humanity around the world and the smart, talented people he works with every day take that message very seriously.
Aaron's roots lie in the Midwest. The first long form project he got the opportunity to do was working with PBS and Rhythm & Light in Chicago. There he got to be a part of the continuing story of Jubilee Showcase, a gospel show hosted by Sid Ordower. This legendary show was the first of its kind and moved the ball forward for many civil rights leaders and ideas. It was one of the clearest displays of what the visual media can do to change minds.
As much as he misses the great city of Chicago, there isn’t an ocean or mountains near Michigan Avenue. Here in LA he enjoys his beach days, bikes and hikes as well as using that National Parks pass that hangs in his my rearview mirror.
