Earlier today, I wrote about a new ad from Americans United for Change that asks people to call Congress and tell the GOP to quit parroting Rush Limbaugh on the stimulus. Well, this is getting ridiculous. Think Progress reports Tom Delay, everyone’s favorite former House Majority Leader indicted for conspiracy and money laundering, now agrees with Limbaugh too.
When Think Progress asked Delay if he agreed with Limbaugh that we shouldn’t hope for President Obama to succeed, Delay said, “Well, exactly right. I don’t want this for our nation.” Delay, of course, has a history of slandering Obama, calling him a Marxist over and over again. He also called Obama “a con artist,” the ultimate irony considering every time I think of Delay I think of his mug shot.
