Sign the pledge:
I acknowledge that racism is an everyday reality, that white privilege exists, and that it is my duty to make the United States a more just and equitable place in my lifetime!
Something is wrong when the U.S. Supreme Court upholds a law (Arizona SB 1070) that allows police to profile, stop and question someone doing nothing wrong based solely on the color of their skin*. Something is wrong when college professors are more likely to respond to questions from students they believe to be white males. Something is wrong when white people are more likely to have used illegal drugs yet Latinos and blacks are more likely to go to jail for using them**.
And something is terribly wrong if we stand by and continue to let this happen.
Let’s work together to open eyes to the brutal reality of racism and make some real change in this country.
