Outreach Coordinator

Job Description:

Brave New Films is seeking a full-time Outreach Coordinator who will be a critical part of a small organizing team. Under the supervision of the Programs Director, the Outreach Coordinator will manage logistics for film screenings and education initiatives.

Brave New Films is a social justice documentary company that uses film for change in the areas of justice, inequality, and security. Our mission is to champion social justice issues by using a model of media, education, and grassroots volunteer involvement that inspires, empowers, motivates and teaches civic participation and makes a difference.

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

Manage all logistics around outreach systems, including:

· Enter all groups and educator contact and follow-up info into internal spreadsheets and databases (Google Docs and Nationbuilder).

· Follow up with all community screening and educator requests.

· Follow up with house party or screening registrations.

· Trouble shoot screening problems (tech issues, questions from hosts, registration issues).

· Report out on all outcomes from screenings.

· Monitor, collect, and provide Director of Programs with feedback and quotes for funders/internal use.

· Manage all material creation and requests, including:

· Design and print education guides

· Coordinate and burn DVDs

· Coordinate all printing for funders, conferences, and other events.

· Support all groups and educators outreach, as needed/by project basis

· Department Support

· Support the Director of Campaigns and Director of Programs in other work, as needed.

Qualifications:

· Passion and commitment to social justice causes

· A desire to use film for education and advocacy

· Extremely strong organizational skills

· Experience with database management (knowledge of Nationbuilder a plus)

· 1-2 years of experience working in a non-profit or on a campaign (including campus campaigns/organizing)

· Strong written and verbal communication skills
