Head of School Screenings Program

 

About the Role

Brave New Films is seeking a highly driven, results-oriented leader to take ownership of our schools screenings program nationwide. This role is responsible for significantly increasing the number of screenings across schools, universities, and academic communities. The focus is on measurable growth in screenings. The right candidate will be entrepreneurial, persistent, and highly effective at turning outreach into confirmed events.

Given the urgency of expanding our impact in schools, this role requires someone who can move quickly, sustain daily outreach momentum, and secure screenings on tight timelines.

Job Title: Head of School Screenings Program

Organization: Brave New Films

Location: Remote

Duration: Contract role, with length of employment aligned to the evolving needs of the screenings program

Compensation:  $30/hour, eligible for discretionary bonus

Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week, standard business hours when schools and educators are most reachable. Need availability to be on phone and email/text consistently.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Significantly increase screenings with outreach to schools, universities, professors
  • Coordinate logistics and communications for confirmed screenings
  • Build, maintain, and track organized pipelines of outreach contacts and opportunities
  • Deliver measurable results, with success defined by the number of screenings secured across institutions

 

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is proactive, persuasive, and highly organized, with a strong ability to convert outreach into real outcomes. You may be a great fit if you:

  • Have a background in sales, outreach, partnerships, or business development
  • Are comfortable pitching and securing commitments from educators and institutions
  • Have experience with or understanding of schools, universities, and academic environments
  • Are a strong communicator, both written and verbal, particularly around social justice issues
  • Are self-directed and able to manage multiple outreach threads at once
  • Are motivated by mission-driven work and measurable impact
