Director of Foundation Relations (Consultant)
A full-time professional freelance writer since 2005, Suzanne Ridgway holds a B.A. in English from UCLA and specializes in work for nonprofit agencies, writing successful grant proposals, funder reports, supporting documentation, press releases, and newsletters. She has worked on a long-term basis with several Southern California nonprofit organizations to raise program and operating funds to help them fulfill their missions and with others on an occasional as-needed basis. She has helped her clients raise over $8 million dollars to improve the lives of disadvantaged people and strengthen Southern California communities.
Suzanne is also a magazine writer, publishing approximately 200 articles and columns in print magazines over the course of a decade. She has written for Sunset Magazine and Entrepreneur, and was a regular columnist and contributor at Working World Magazine and Working Nurse Magazine continuously from 2004 to 2013. Her columns covering nursing history and leadership have been reprinted in McGraw Hill textbooks Annual Editions: Nursing 07/08, 1st Edition, and Nursing 11/12, 2nd Edition.
