Brave New Films is seeking an Interim Social Media Manager beginning June 8 while we conduct a search for a long-term Social Media Director.

Interim Social Media Manager - Temporary Contract

This is a temporary remote contract position for up to 8 weeks and we are open to applications with significant experience managing and growing social media platforms.

Brave New Films reaches millions of people through documentaries and digital content focused on social justice, politics, and progressive change. We need someone who can step in immediately to oversee regular posting, audience engagement, platform monitoring, and day-to-day social media operations across all major channels.

This is a fast-moving role that requires someone deeply familiar with political and social justice media, current events, and digital audience engagement.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing daily posting across all major platforms
• Monitoring comments, engagement, and platform activity
• Helping maintain consistent audience growth and engagement
• Coordinating promotion of films, videos, campaigns, and rapid response content
• Working with the Brave New Films team to maintain an active and responsive online presence
• Assisting with website and digital content updates as needed

Requirements:

• Significant professional experience running social media accounts for organizations, brands, campaigns, or media companies
• Strong understanding of political and social justice media
• Experience with audience growth, engagement strategy, and platform analytics
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Ability to move quickly and respond to breaking news moments
