Join the ACLU Western NC Chapter and our partners Racial Justice Coalition of Asheville-Buncombe County, YWCA, and the WNC chapter of Carolina Jews for Justice for "Alternatives to Incarceration" film screening and discussion on Sunday, March 3, at 4 p.m. at the Grail Moviehouse in Asheville.
The event will include a screening of "The Bail Trap: American Ransom," a Brave New Films compilation about the unjust cash bail system. The film will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Kristie Puckett-Williams, ACLU of North Carolina; Brent Bailey, Buncombe County Reentry Council; Nicole Townsend, Southerners on New Ground; and Todd Williams, Buncombe County District Attorney.
This event is free and open to everyone.
