Like this to spread the word:
U.S. Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Cory Booker (D-NJ) introduced the Police Reporting of Information, Data and Evidence Act – legislation that would bring much needed transparency and accountability to police departments throughout the nation.
This law would requite states to report to the Justice Department any incident when an officer of the law is involved in a shooting or any other instance when force is used and results in serious bodily injury or death.
The movement for police accountability and better data collection on the use of force in police departments is growing.
Thank you Senator Boxer and Senator Booker for introducing this vital legislation. We’ve got your back!
