Thank you all. It takes courage and stamina simply to be a woman of color in this country. To do what you do, on behalf of all of us, is more than worthy of our respect, gratitude, and support. I hope it helps you to face the challenges you encounter every day and to weather the disrespect of a man who should model great character, not the lack of character. What the president does, as our representative, is shameful to him, to us Americans, and to all reasonable and civil people. The people responding here, while not in the briefing room, sit right behind you every day. Whatever gains our society makes, as it works to move forward and upward, it makes because of people like you.
