Calling Henry Kravis

Giving up is certainly not something we do here at Brave New Films. This time however, we had to throw in the towel. For weeks, our team repeatedly tried to reach Henry Kravis, the star of our War On Greed video series.

From interns to producers even Director Robert Greenwald himself all tried their luck at calling Mr. Kravis to invite him to share his point of view and to give him an opportunity to speak for himself. We left messages with the switchboard operator, his assistant, and his voice mail became our acquaintance. His PR firm never responded, and obviously, neither did Mr. Kravis.

We would like to add that aside from simply picking up the phone, we proposed Mr. Kravis the sweet deal of meeting with him at his own time, at the location of his choice, at his convenience. All he had to do was say the word and we would have followed. We offered to post the transcript of the would-be interview in its entirety on the web, so that his words would not be misinterpreted or lost in translation. Unfortunately, our perks didn't interest Mr. Kravis, and we have yet to hear from him. Mr. Kravis: you can't say we never tried.

I can't believe the number of responses that are FOR the greed profiteers listed on the youtube part of this message. This is why we do not see change. The people who wrote in either have no sense or are also corporate big wigs themselves. The average person does not want to see there wages cut, benefits cut or to even lose their job. It comes as to no surpirse that Henry Kravis would not respond. We need to focus our energies on fixing the Governments of our nations to dis-allow this type of blatant greed to continue. To all those misguided souls that believe that KKR is making money for the economy or company workers please apply for one of the companies that are owned by these fat cats.

I wonder when we see the first foreclosure victim take REVENGE on one or the other of these WALL STREET CRIMINALS, Congress members and other criminal executives. Where the law fails to protect the public against ruthless greed and criminal practices of bankers, brokers and their political cronies, disfranchised and irate individuals will take extreme measures to get even. And who would shed a tear?
There was a time when traitors, conspirators and subversive elements faced quick corporal punishment. Many were hanged on the spot. The people of America have to think back of their constitutional roots and deal decisively with a whole class of subjects who have ruined America. The most disgusting aspect of the misery they have brought over the US is, that MOST ARE STILL PROFITEERING right here right now from bailouts, stock fluctuations and future financial turmoil. These are the REAL TERRORISTS America needs to fight.

Well, Kravis is smart to do all of that. I respect what he does. I mean, in today's world where everybody is smart and hardworking; how does one get away by not creating anything yet moving away with a ton of money by buying and selling off of others' creations!!
