Meet the Bloggers: Henry Rollins and Jonathan Kim on the Harmful FOX Effect

On this week's Meet the Bloggers, guest host Henry Rollins and FOX Attacks! blogger Jonathan Kim discussed just how damaging the "FOX effect" can be.  As Kim pointed out, FOX specializes in balancing the truth with lies, giving equal time, let's say, to a real scientist who tells the truth about global warming as they do to someone without any expertise who calls global warming a myth.  In doing so, FOX marginalizes the expert's claim while legitimizing the non-expert's opinion.  This is FOX's idea of "fair and balanced."

Meet the Bloggers airs live every Friday at 1pm ET/10 am PT.  And if you missed any previous shows, you can always catch them here.

    yep

  2. Cole says:

I love it. The problem is that the people that watch Fox don’t get to see this stuff.

  3. jim says:

nah, they see it. they just don’t care. they believe what they want… because it’s easier to rant and attack, than try and be rational and get to the truth.

    -America! -World!

High time to junk the TV altogether.

Even w/o FOX -nothing but a pack
    of commodity hustling, empathy sycophants
    and enablers.

AND BTW when are people going to smarten up
and remove all of those addicitve “issue”
    oriented daytime talk shows?

I know I’m dreaming -but TV should be zoned!

Family hour is one thing -now how about
-”it’s daytime and you should be out
    working, schooling, being”.

The damage daytime TV talk shows have inflicted
on society truly is awesome. Just look at the
obesity phenomenon -the disintegration of anything even remotely resembling a ‘culture’
    -and on and on.

    Horrific.
