As President Obama hits his 100th day in office, the marker is defined by accomplishments–pledging to close Guantรกnamo, repealing the Global Gag Rule and working toward nuclear nonproliferation–and blemishes, particularly the flawed bank bailout and questionable plans for military escalation in Afghanistan. In this video, Nation Editor and Publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel discusses Obama’s actions from the first 100 hours in office. She also answers questions raised at The Nation‘s recent “Obama @ 100″ forum in Washington, which featured a panel of Nation writers and Congresswoman Donna Edwards (D-MD).

What is most disappointing is the lack of leadership and integrity in this Congress. Whether your a Democrat or Republican , Independent or Libertarian, the overall lack of fiduciary responsibility exhibited by this Congress is dismal!
Huge appropriation bills passed without being read. Politicians on oversight-boards either lying or distorting facts that allowed people to obtain loans they couldn't afford which lead to the biggest property foreclosure rate in the history of this country. Bank closures because, contrary to what the politicians are saying, these banks were forced to make these irrational loans by this government. Politicians lying about their knowledge of ” enhanced interrogations”, and others who pay off special interest with taxpayer money after receiving lucrative personal family contracts. That's only the tip of the outrageously debased attitudes of those in power, who have been in power for far too long! And to top it off, we now have a president intent on taking us down the socialist road to ruin.
The saddest part of this whole scenario is, the number of American citizens fallowing this insanity without the slightest interest in researching the facts, the history, or anything that might make them question the wisdom of this government!! It seems, there's a abundance of people who will agree without ever once questioning as long as the entitlements ( welfare ) keep on coming, and the government relieves them of any personal responsibility.
