So who is the REAL Harold Ford, Jr.?
Well, for starters, he’s a staunch opponent of abortion rights. He also disapproves of marriage equality for gay couples, opposes public safety laws to keep guns off the streets, and blames immigrants for America’s problems. Doesn’t sound like much of a New Yorker, does he?
Of course, now that he’s living in Manhattan instead of south of the Mason-Dixon line, Ford is remaking himself as a pro-choice, pro-gay, pro-gun control progressive. But unfortunately for Harold, this is the age of the internet, and you can’t just walk away from your past statements. That’s why we compiled this video of the REAL Harold Ford, Jr., to introduce New Yorkers to their latest carpetbagger.

your video does not accurately portray Harold Ford. I believe he is one of the good guys, of who we have too few! He would serve us all, if elected. He is very well qualified, and should win by a landslide!
What's not accurate about the portrayal? What makes him a good guy? What is he running for?

Unless this “HAROLD” Fordy “BUSH ADMIRER” fully believes in living the word of God, I wouldn't trust him with “YOUR” ten foot pole. What we need is a Government that realizes what a dire predicament we're in and get back to the belief “IN GOD WE TRUST”, otherwise, “WE THE PEOPLE” have no voice, nor the ability to help bring our nation out of poverty, and then to continue allowing the GREEDY WAR/MONEY MONGERS to worsen the problems we now face. C'mon Brave New World, how about some nuance?: Ford… “opposes public safety laws to keep guns off the streets.” Define what you mean by that, and reconcile that with your opener, “pro-gun”. It is eminently possible – I should know – to be both pro-gun, in the sense that I believe I have a right to own firearms, and support public safety laws to keep guns off the street, in the sense that that means out of convicted criminals' hands and the hands of the mentally disturbed. Banning guns won't do that, if that is your definition of the opposite of pro-gun.
I get your emails because I subscribed. I'm a “liberal democract” although I'm not much for labels, and consider even the one self ascribed I just used to be too simplistic; there's more to me than that.
I happen to own and shoot firearms. I'm a firm believer in and supporter of the Second Amendment. The First and Fourth as well, along with the other 24. That said, I'm not a member of NRA nor do I subscribe to its full “agenda.” By the same token, I consider the “Brady Bunch” out to lunch.
Ford may or may not be a candidate I could support and, for some of the reasons you list, may have too many positions not in sync with my own. But as Cybershaman comments, didn't he just recently have our support?
But back to my main point. There are a lot of democrats, including “liberal” democrats, who own firearms. It is their Constitutionally guaranteed right to do so. Get over it and support our Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Very true. I used to tell people I was the most liberal person they probably knew. I don't anymore. I don't want to be associated with guys like Greenwald and Olberman.
