Press

President of Gennifer with a G, inc, Gennifer Birnbach has been a part of some of the greatest network launches, public relations muscle, marketing campaigns and messaging for the past 25+ years (not bad for someone who had a 70 GPA in high school). She cut her teeth at Viacom for 17 years working alongside the OG founders of MTV, Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite. Gennifer matured into adulthood at Comcast, where she spent 10 years working at Bravo. While there, Gennifer became heavily involved in NBCUniversal’s Diversity & Inclusion Employee Resource Groups (EPGs), where she was the team leader for Erase the Hate (a Blair Imani project), the Asian Pacific American NY Chapter and an active member of all EPGs. She’s also a Mentor and Board Advisor for the Future Now Media Foundation.

Then, in 2019, Gennifer took a leap of faith and started Gennifer with a G, inc – her own boutique creative marketing and communications company where she has immersed herself in other types of verticals from fashion brands and luxury real estate to non-profits and education platforms. Her tagline: "Every Curl on My Head is an Idea!"

A note from Gennifer: Often, I’m asked to help with internal and external communications planning and execution. Press releases, newsletters, pitch strategies and publicity stunts are all in my DNA. I got my start in 2nd grade during our Show and Tell presentations. I often promoted the Woody Woodpecker episode I saw that morning. I’m confident I was responsible for increased ratings weekdays 6-7am on WPIX-NY.

Some Fun Facts:

  • Once I was hired as a bouncer at a bar in Kansas just because I was from NY and owned a motorcycle jacket
  • I lost Larry Hagman’s wife in a limo on the way to a CBS press interview (BUT THEN I FOUND HER)
  • I devised/orchestrated a way to get TV Land into the Guinness Book of Records as a publicity stunt
  • I was a social media ghostwriter for Roberta Flack
