Quatoyiah Murry is a Georgia-born film writer and author of TCM Underground: 50 Must-See Classics from the World of Cult and Late-Night Cinema. She is the former editorial manager and YouTube channel manager for Turner Classic Movies, where she continues to write freelance. After her tenure with TCM, she moved to Paris, France to pursue a master’s in film and fulfill a childhood dream of living in 'The City of Light.' She graduated with honors from the University of Kent. After living in Paris, she returned to North America to transition into a career as a producer and screenwriter. She writes under the moniker The Cinephiliac and makes video essays for her YouTube channel. She has contributed to Time, Pretty Clever Films, and Movie Boozer. Her work often focuses on diversity and representation as well as historical context in film.
