How Perpetual War Fuels Terrorism
Over the past several decades the military industrial complex has grown so large that it funds entire agencies and stuffs full the pockets of military contractors. This growth in spending has spurred more interest in funding and fighting wars.
Since 1980, the United States has intervened militarily in over 27 countries all under the deceiving cry of National Security. However, as we enter into yet another possible unending war in the Middle East to fight off terrorists, it is time we consider How Does This End.
We need to end perpetual war because war does not make the United States and our communities any safer. If anything, it’s increasing terror activities across the globe. We need to stop creating tomorrow’s enemy.
