The Call to Sanctuary

The Trump agenda calls for a rush on deportations. That means we need a call to sanctuary now by keeping our communities safe and speaking out louder than ever before. We can do this by advocating for sanctuary, or safe zones, which refers to all kinds of immigrant friendly laws, policies, and resolutions that share a common belief of protecting people from deportation and keeping ICE out of local law enforcement. 

In The Call to Sanctuary, we joined forces with the Indivisible Team and the National Immigration Law Center to show, step-by-step, how to create safety in your community. Together we can protect the most vulnerable by pushing our cities and counties to take up Sanctuary and uphold the constitutional rights of all. There is plenty that you can do: Act now, act locally, with your faith community, or at school.
