Róisín Isner

Story Spotlight: Campaign Finance Director

Róisín Isner (she/her) is a born-and-raised San Franciscan and political organizer. After graduating high school, she survived a serious violent crime that resulted in the amputation of her index finger and required three years of regular surgeries and occupational therapy. This experience inspired her enduring passion for restorative justice and broad criminal justice reform. During this time she also became involved in voter registration and education, and community organizing efforts to protect local independent businesses. After studying Evolutionary Biology at Columbia University, she returned to SF and began staffing local political campaigns. In 2023, she assumed the role of Director of Activism and Operations for the San Francisco Tenants Union, which operates the most accessed tenants rights clinic in the City and, as a 501(c)(4) non-profit, works to elect pro-tenant candidates to public office.
